Over 10 days, there will be parties, workshops, dinners, family-friendly events and free talks with some of the world’s most innovative, exciting and enlightening chefs. Maximum Chips
An ode to the humble chip in all its forms, Maximum Chips is a Friday night party that’s simply irresistible. With all the chips – crinkle-cut, shoestring, French fry and maybe the sneaky wedge – this fun and casual event does exactly what it says on the tin.

The Mixed Grill

Sichuan Snack Fair
Fuchsia Dunlop, doyenne of Sichuan cooking, flies into Melbourne and teams up with Dainty Sichuan, Spice Temple and 10 of the city’s other top restaurants to pay tribute to China’s spiciest regional cuisine with a free, family-friendly celebration of Sichuan province’s greatest dishes. Wander from stand to stand, from tasting to talk, demonstration to dish, from hot food to cold beer, and get a true taste of one of China’s most popular culinary exports, all in a mix of Mandarin and English.

MasterQuiz by the Hungry Gentlemen
It’s back! Bigger, beefier and boozier than ever, the smash-hit event of 2018 and 2019 returns. Hosted by The Hungry Gentlemen, wine writer Max Allen and food writer Richard Cornish, this laugh-out-loud sensory quiz puts tastebuds and flavour memories to the test in a series of interactive challenges. You’ll be served a dazzling array of mystery drinks and delicious treats as Max and Richard ask the curly questions to discover which team will leave as the MasterQuiz champions of 2020. Along with the glory, this year’s prize package includes $2,000 worth of Victoria’s best produce.

Welcome To The Jungle
Welcome to Australia’s newest and tastiest celebration of plants and plant-based eating. Lush plantings and florals and plants-plants-plants set the scene for a party that’s 100 per cent animal-free, right down to the drinks. It’s food plus gardens plus drinks plus live music – and all plants, all the time.

The Big Spaghetti
We’re taking pasta back to its street-food origins in a big stand-up event that combines the bustle of hawker markets with the family-friendly and community ethos of Italian street fairs in a celebration of every strand of spaghetti and every forkful of cacio e pepe. Throw in some live music and a healthy splash of wine for good measure and you’ve got a real mambo Italiano on your hands.

Attica Presents ‘A day of exploring the idea of hope and community’
Attica chef and restaurateur Ben Shewry leads a day of discussion, music, performance and art, all about hope and community. The day consists of short, punchy talks from the likes of author and activist Bruce Pascoe and musician Adam Briggs, interspersed with high-energy performances followed by an opportunity to share a drink, mingle and talk.
