We’re delighted to invite you to kickstart 2026 Reconciliation Week at STREAT’s First Nations social enterprise shop (Shop 19, Shed F) at the Purpose Precinct, Queen Victoria Market (just down from the Peel St tram stop).
Rose Stewart – proud Gunditjmara Taungurung woman and staff member at social enterprise Clothing the Gaps – will join us as our guest speaker to talk about the role Allies can play in walking alongside First Peoples working for self-determination. She’ll also share how their tireless work to Change the Date is progressing, and how people can join this work.
For the event, you can also DIY an Ally t-shirt! BYO plain-ish, clean t-shirt (or 2!). Your tee can be of any colour (we’ve got designs to suit both light and dark t-shirts). If you’re using a brand new t-shirt, make sure you’ve washed it beforehand. You’ll have 23 amazing Clothing the Gaps iron-ons to choose from.
Proudly supported by the Brian M Davis Charitable Foundation and Newsboys Foundation.
We really hope you can come along!
PS Can’t make it on the day?
