LISTING
When a stall at Queen Victoria Market becomes available, the Market initiates a formal process by inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from potential licensees.
The EOI for the stall is promoted on the QVM website, through the QVM Newsletter, and via additional channels, as necessary.
Applicants are typically given a minimum of six weeks to submit their business proposals, applications, and other required documentation.
REVIEW
All submissions are evaluated by the QVM Trader Experience Team based on specific criteria, precinct relevance, customer and community needs, as well as alignment with the Market’s strategic retail mix.
Applicants who make the shortlist are invited to attend an interview with Market Management, and if necessary, members of the Market Committee.
DECISION
QVM Market Management select the successful applicant and initiate the process to issue the new license.
Unsuccessful applicants are informed of the decision at this stage. Although the Market strives to complete this process efficiently, it can take several months from the time the EOI is advertised to when the new licensee is chosen.
In the interim, if the stall has already been vacated, the Market may permit its use as a pop-up shop, which may feature products or services unrelated to what is being sought through the EOI.
Submit an expression of interest
If you’re interested in an opportunity but don’t find any of the currently advertised stalls suitable for your business, you can submit an open Expression of Interest.
Submissions that align with the Market’s retail mix strategy will be added to our database.
Please note, due to the volume of submissions, we will only contact you if a suitable opportunity arises.
