The exit onto Franklin Street from the open-air car will be permanently closed to vehicles from Monday 20 July. This change follows the relocation of the Peel Street exit earlier this year.
The Franklin Street exit has been kept open for as long as possible. However it now needs to close so the site can be prepared for the next stage of the Gurrowa Place development.
While the Franklin Street exit is closing, an additional exit lane will be added to the Peel Street exit. The Queen Street exit will remain open, ensuring customers have two points to exit the car park.
When:
- Works will take place on Monday 20 July, from 6.00am to 4.00pm
- If required due to weather, contingency dates are 27 and 29 July
What:
- Closure of Franklin Street car park exit
- Opening of an additional exit lane onto Peel Street
- Relocation of equipment including the boom gate, license plate recognition equipment and payment machine to the new Peel Street exit lane

Customers will be able to access the car park as usual while the works are being done. Our team will continue to check that traffic is flowing well around the precinct.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out these works.
