Preparing your Easter Feast
Boasting over thirty specialty retailers stocking everything from freshly shucked oysters, Australian prawns, yabbies and fish, the Market’s famous Meat and Fish Hall is your one-stop-shop for all fresh produce needs. Pre-order your fare with your favourite fishmonger today to secure the finest produce in town. Keeping with tradition, Easter Sunday would not be complete without roast lamb, and our picks include Hagen’s Organics, Jenkins Quality Meat, Alec Watson & Sons and Sardes Quality Meats. Ask our friendly butchers for cooking instructions and learn more about where your produce has come from.

Next, visit the Dairy Produce Hall where you’ll find a huge selection of freshly baked Hot Cross Buns, from traditional raisin buns, to white chocolate and raspberry, chocolate chip, apple and cinnamon, vegan, gluten free and spelt. Our friends at M & G Caiafa, The Breadbox, Andrew’s Bread Shop and Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse have a bounty to choose from. Or better still, make your own at home using the deliciously spiced Hot Cross Bun mix from Gewurzhaus. No walk through the Dairy Hall is complete until you’ve picked up Easter chocolates from Koko BlackThe Eggporium will also host traditional Ukrainian egg decorating demonstrations and you can pick up your very own Anatoli egg-dying kits and Tsoureki Easter bread from The Hellenic Deli.

Next, walk the Market sheds and pick up an Easter Bunny Basket from C & I Arts and Crafts to help the kids collect their choccy treats, and find gorgeous Easter ceramics, plush toys, tablecloths and placements at Ambiance to get into the Easter spirit!
