What’s on in July at Queen Vic Market

This month kicks off with Christmas in July celebrations, featuring a series of kids’ activities for the school holidays. We’re also playing host to Lettuce Eat, a pop-up food experiment demonstrating how to repurpose green waste. The Night Market is in full steam, and our Indian festival is must-visit for all foodies. Don’t forget your beanie!

Christmas in July – School Holiday Fun
Tuesday and Thursday from 2 – 11 July, between 10am and 2pm
Join us in C Shed for some super school holiday fun as we celebrate Christmas in July with a range of free activities to keep the kids entertained. Whether it’s designing gingerbread house placemats or creating your own Christmas stocking, there’s something to suit kids of all ages.

Winter Night Market
Wednesday nights until 28 August, 5pm – 10pm
The Winter Night Market is back for 2019 to warm up your Wednesdays with delicious street food, specialty shopping, fun entertainment and spiced mulled wine. Delight in the smells, sounds and tastes of winter.

Reusing Veggie Scraps
Friday 5 July
Join dynamic duo, Chilli and Aubi at the Market on the first Friday of each month as they cruise the fresh produce sheds of the Market offering delicious tips on how to make the most of your scraps. Help save your money and the environment!

Lettuce Eat – A Pop-Up Experiment
Thursday and Friday, 20 June – 12 July, between 10am – 2pm
Designer, Maddison Ryder, will convert hundreds of kilos of green waste into plates! In response to the abundant amount of waste seen in Australia, Lettuce Eat demonstrates how food waste can be transformed into a material of workability and adaptability.

Indian Festival
Saturday 27 July, 10am – 9pm & Sunday 28 July, 10am – 4pm
Warm up this winter with the flavours, spices and colours of India. Feast on authentic tastes like parathas and spicy curries, enjoy acoustic tunes and see the Market come to life with Bollywood and Bhangra dancing.
