Queen Victoria Market to support Bushfire Disaster Appeal
On behalf of Queen Victoria Market, we express our heartfelt sympathy to all those impacted by the fires and sincere appreciation for our emergency services personnel and volunteers, working so hard to battle blazes, to protect lives and to support the many people in need. Our Market is an integral part of the fresh food produce industry and our thoughts are with those in rural and regional Australia who have lost or damaged crops, livestock and farming infrastructure.
To show our support, we will be running fundraising events at the Market commencing next week with all funds to be donated to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal. Fundraising will commence with gold coin donations at the Summer Night Market next Wednesday 15 January and fundraising stations to be set up at the Day Market on 16 and 17 January.
